Founder and President

As Founder and President of Alpine Communications, award-winning public relations professional Wendy Alpine has 20 years of experience in communications, including journalism, agency, association and non-profit public relations. Wendy manages all aspects of her company's communications, including writing and editing, media relations, strategic consultation, planning and implementation of communications campaigns and special events coordination.

Alpine Communications provides public relations services for large and small companies, associations and non-profit organizations. We also provide internal and external communications for global companies and health care organizations. In recognition of their work in helping secure hundreds of media placements, new sponsors, donors and fund-raising for the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer, Alpine Communications received the prestigious Phoenix Award from the Public Relations Society of America, Georgia Chapter.

Prior to starting her own public relations firm, Wendy worked for The Kellen Company, one of the world's largest association management and public relations firms, with offices in Atlanta, Beijing, Brussels, New York, Tucson and Washington, D.C. At The Kellen Company, Wendy served as communications manager for The Association for Dressings and Sauces and provided senior media and public relations counsel to several food trade associations.

As a result of Wendy's management of PR campaigns, clients have appeared in major print publications, including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and USA Today, in consumer magazines such as Ladies' Home Journal, Family Circle and SELF, and on major news broadcasts, including ABC World News Tonight, NBC Nightly News, CNN and the Today Show.

Wendy also worked for Manning, Selvage & Lee/Atlanta, and the University at Stony Brook in New York, where she was senior writer and media relations specialist for the Health Sciences Center and University Hospital. Wendy began her career as a newspaper reporter for the Staten Island Advance and Jamestown Post-Journal, both daily newspapers in New York, as well as a freelance writer for The New York Times and American Baby. As a reporter for the Staten Island Advance, she received writing awards from the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Wendy, a native of Long Island, New York, received her B.A. in French and Journalism from the State University of New York at Albany. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Georgia Chapter, and served on the Board of Directors of The Association for Women in Communications/Atlanta Chapter. Wendy also served on the Public Relations Committee of the Alzheimer's Association of Georgia and was a volunteer for SafePath Children's Advocacy Center in Marietta.
